Apple India wants to increase the iPhone Production upto 25% in India from 5-7% right now, claims Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday during a conference as the iphone maker (Apple) continues to move manufacturing from out of china.
While mentioning India as a competitive manufacturing hub, Minister said "Apple is another success story". Already they're about 5-7% and they are aiming to raise the iPhone Production in India about 25%. Even they have launched their latest models here that are already manufactured in India.

Goyal omitted a timeline on when Apple hopes to reach the objective. A request for comment from Apple was not immediately complied with.
Based in Cupertino, California Since it started assembling iPhones there in 2017 through Wistron and then with Foxconn, Apple has made a significant investment in the nation in keeping with the push for domestic manufacturing made by the Indian government.
Reuters was informed late last year that Foxconn planned to treble the workforce at its iPhone manufacturing in India over the course of two years.

The electronics and IT minister of India, Ashwini Vaishnaw, tweeted on Monday that Apple's exports from India reached $1 billion (about Rs. 8,141 crore) in December.
Apple's ambitions to move manufacture elsewhere have been impacted by China's COVID-related lockdowns and restrictions, as well as escalating trade and geopolitical tensions between Beijing and Washington.

In contrast to the current 5 percent, J.P. Morgan analysts predicted that by 2025, a quarter of all Apple products would be produced outside of China.
